“Sunset Hex” is an early landmark for Opal Drums, the collaboration between UK turntablist and producer Jon1st and Denver electronic artist Mux Mool. Jon1st has singled it out as a moment when the pair’s mix of influences began to feel like a distinctive project. The track also helped establish the duo’s cinematic world-building, later developed across their debut Sarsen Cinema EP.
