Teej

Bristol-based Teej began releasing music in 2017, working as a producer and DJ across drum and bass, 140 and garage. Tape packs first drew Teej towards drum and bass while still a student; free parties later opened up a wider view of electronic music. Teej is a core member of the OCC Recordings collective, and releases have appeared on Flexout Audio, 31 Recordings, Soul In Motion, Trust Audio, Critical, The North Quarter and Sofa Sound. The track “Nice Up The Dance” reached a wider audience, and Teej has described its circulation as a possible turning point in how people recognised the production.

Teej characterises the productions as deep and minimal, and enjoys working with artists whose sounds differ from Teej’s own. Frequent collaborators include Tweakz, Objectiv and Resslek. In 2025, Teej launched NYX Recordings, with the aim of building it into a consistent home for minimal music. That same year, the single “Silencio / Nemesis” appeared on the imprint with Felov, while “BS8” paired Teej with Sustance on Overview Music and “Enamour” brought together R3IDY and Visionobi on Soulvent Records. In September 2026, Teej played at 440 and at Volks.
