Pete Cannon’s fourth N4 instalment for Kniteforce brings together uplifting piano hooks, pounding breakbeats and a high-energy blend of jungle and hardcore. Cannon’s use of old Amiga gear alongside modern technology gives this four-tracker a direct link to the DIY production approach behind his work.
It also marks his return to Kniteforce after a hiatus spent building his own N4 label. “Piano In Yellow” makes its piano focus plain; “In XTC” closes the EP on a rush of rave energy.
