Virtual Riot and DJ DIESEL’s “Damage” opens on an unexpectedly gentle guitar figure before Shaquille O’Neal steps in with rap vocals. The calm entrance gives way to two roaring drum & bass drops, then a final turn toward the collaborators’ dubstep roots.
That contrast—acoustic opening, vocal-led breaks and a hard-charging finish—makes the Monstercat Uncaged single a distinctive collision of Virtual Riot’s detailed production and DIESEL’s heavyweight bass approach.
