'Set Speed' wastes no time setting the tone - lively vocal cuts ride over relentless rolling drums and heavyweight low-end pressure, delivering pure soundsystem energy with a sharp modern edge. There's a rawness at the core, but every element is dialled with precision, balancing Bristol bass heritage with slick, forward-facing production.
That same momentum carries seamlessly into 'Procedure', locking into a deeper, heads-down groove while maintaining the tension and drive established on the A-side. Taut atmospherics, rugged bass weight and intricate drum work underline Karnal's instinct for movement and control across both tracks.
Two cuts packed with energy and intent - a standout debut from a producer already carving a distinct lane for himself.
