Campbell

Melbourne/Naarm has been home to Campbell, the DJ and radio host Bevin Campbell, whose UK roots inform his place in the city’s bass-music scene. Campbell hosts The Blend on PBS 106.7FM, a radio programme that has been broadcasting for more than 21 years. In 2006, Campbell was a key member of the crew behind the Red Bull Music Academy in Melbourne. He later joined CDR, whose Melbourne team ran meet-ups for music producers. Campbell also established the Blend Corp. label to distribute material by Wax Tailor and other artists.

Campbell has played Australian events including Rainbow Serpent Festival, Strawberry Fields and Outlook Festival Melbourne. In 2015, Campbell toured Europe, with performances at Outlook, L’Estrany and Soundwave festivals. On stage, Campbell has performed alongside Om Unit, Digital, Djinn, LMajor and Djrum. Campbell’s work as a DJ and radio host has been rooted in Melbourne’s bass-music scene, while his UK background informs that local connection.

In 2022, Campbell released the single Beat Goes On (Rhythm to the Brain) on Atlantic Records UK. The following year brought the Atlantic Records UK single Would You (go to bed with me?) [MGB Edit], credited with Alcemist and MGB, and a separate Higgo remix of the track. Campbell also released the single Up Down Round with Sam Green on D4 D4NCE in 2023. That year, Charlotte Plank and Hybrid Minds were credited on Campbell’s remix single Lights (Campbell Remix), released on Black Butter.

In 2025, Campbell released the single I’m a Roller (La-Di-Da-Di) with Vibe Chemistry on Atlantic Records UK. Campbell played at Section 8 for appearances with Digital in January and Immuno in April that year. In October 2024, Campbell also played at Planet Wax for an on-air event. Most recently, Campbell played in September 2026 at a secret-location event.
