Issey Cross, born Isabella Eliza Victoria Cross, is an English singer-songwriter and producer from Kent. She grew up writing songs after receiving her first guitar at 13 and began performing at local open-mic nights as a teenager under the name Issey C. After finishing her GCSEs, she moved to London to study music, attending college in Tottenham. There, she switched from music performance to production so she could make her own music. Cross is a member of Loud LDN, a collective of women musicians from London and its suburbs.
Her 2021 EP Mirrors Don't Lie came out on Cult Behaviour. Cross’s releases have also appeared on Atlantic Records UK, BMG Rights Management and Warner Records. In 2023, she released the solo single Bittersweet Goodbye, produced by Luude; it became her first solo single under a deal with Atlantic, Warner’s subsidiary, and reached number 19 on the UK Singles Chart. That same year, she released Breathe Out with Hybrid Minds and Fred V. In 2024, she joined Sudley for the single 6 Feet Under, released on UKF. Her 2025 releases included Nostalgia with Sammy Virji on Capitol Records UK and Midnight on Atlantic Records UK.
Cross’s songwriting draws on pop, while her music blends alt-pop with UK garage, drum and bass and dubstep. Her collaborations include Wilkinson’s single Used to This, which reached number 33 on the UK chart, and Luude’s Oh My, featuring Moby, which reached number 98. Cross has said a studio session with Wilkinson led to writing Used to This. She also featured with bshp on Nathan Dawe and Bru-C’s Oh Baby, which reached number 35. Cross released Dreaming (Feelings) with Fish56octagon on Octagon Discs in 2025. On 3 September 2026, she played at UNO MALTA.
