Sudley

Edward Basquette, who records as Sudley, began putting out drum and bass in 2020 after more than a decade of making music. Originally from Salisbury and now based in Bristol, Sudley moved to the city in 2016; he has said its club scene and supportive music community helped him develop. Lessons and focused practice during lockdown also played a part in improving his production. His first release was the single Access on Right Good Records.

Sudley later released the EP Rapidash on ProgRAM Records, a RAM Records imprint. He described its three tracks as older productions, shaped by his interest in tech and minimal drum and bass during 2020 and 2021. His releases have also appeared on Hospital Records, Four Corners Music, Dazed Music, Skankandbass, Bowlcut, Subconscious and Right Good Records. The tracks You Make Me Feel and Consciousness featured on Skankandbass Introducing.

Sudley’s 2026 singles include Breathe Again, made with Degs for Hospital Records, and Hysteria, a collaboration with Freaks & Geeks and Hedara for Elevate Records. That year he also released The Other Side on Let It Roll and Terminal with Hanne Mjøen, Loboski and ShockOne on Monstercat. His work as a DJ, producer and songwriter remains based in Bristol.
