Ben Cooper performs as Konetix, a UK-based drum-and-bass DJ and producer associated with London. His music brings together jump-up energy and melodic liquid drum and bass. Cooper has described an early turning point: after hearing one of his mixes, MC Skibadee invited him to make a vocal mix together. He has said that the opportunity helped open doors, and that Skibadee introduced him to artists who became friends and collaborators. Konetix’s first event on Resident Advisor was in 2021.
That year, Cooper released the track Ticka Tock with Harry Shotta. In 2023, he worked with P Money and Y-Zer on the track Dreams. His other MC collaborators include DRS, while DJ Phantasy and DJ Rap are among his musical connections. Cooper also worked with vocalist Rosie McClelland on Eyes Wide Shut. His credits extend to a remix of DJ Rap and General Levy’s Life Of The Party; Cooper called making it an honour and a personal milestone, and DJ Rap praised the remix.
In 2024, Konetix worked with DJ Phantasy and DRS on the track The Weatherman. That year he also played Boomtown’s Wrong Side Of The Tracks stage, a set he described as a long-held dream. He founded Melted Face Recordings to put out his own music on his own schedule, and said the label was starting to sign tracks by other producers. His releases have also appeared through R.O.A.M and Dirtbox Recordings. Konetix has described connections with MCs including P Money, Y-Zer, Harry Shotta and DRS, alongside work with DJ Phantasy and DJ Rap.
In 2025, Konetix released the single Beast Mode with DJ Millz and Harry Shotta on DNB Vibes. His 2026 single Freak Out, released through R.O.A.M, features DJ Phantasy, Inja and LIIA. London, Brighton, Amsterdam and Riga are among the regions where his DJ sets are most frequently played. In April 2026, he performed at Pier 14 and Het Sieraad in Amsterdam; in May, he played a session with Nicky Blackmarket in London.
