R.O.A.M’s “Freak Out” brings DJ Phantasy, Inja, Konetix and LIIA together with UK Apache, a notably MC-led collaboration spanning jungle lineage and contemporary drum & bass. Phantasy’s own career has run from rave and jungle into D&B, giving the pairing with UK Apache particular scene roots.
At 88 BPM, the single moves with a slower pulse than typical full-tempo D&B, putting the emphasis on the vocal crew as much as the production.
