Natty Lou, also known as Natalie, first encountered drum and bass and jungle while studying in Bristol from 2008 to 2012. Before focusing on music, she won a world championship as a dancer, worked professionally as a dancer internationally and taught geography. In Bristol, she joined the female dance collective Bass Honeys, which performed with Andy C, Dillinja and Sigma. She later moved to Hong Kong, where she began DJing in 2018, and started learning music production during lockdown in 2021.
Based in the UK, Natty Lou works as a drum-and-bass DJ and producer. Her sets combine dancefloor drum and bass with jump-up and neurofunk, while her production draws on dancefloor DnB, uplifting melodies, vocals and cinematic influences. She has completed two international tours in Asia, covering China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand. Her studio collaborations have included Axel Boy, D*Minds, Tengu and Biometrix, and she has worked with vocalists Ayah Marar, Lottie Jones and Emilie Rachel.
Her releases include the track Alpenglow, made with Lottie Jones, and the single Tempted. She has released music on Liquicity, Bassrush, NCS and Ridmic. The single Close to Me paired her with Gemma Rose, while Bladerunner and Gemma Rose joined her on Tempted (Bladerunner Remix). In 2023, UKF named Natty Lou among its Ones To Watch, and she received a Best DJ nomination at the Drum and Bass Arena Awards.
In 2026, Natty Lou released Fire Pon Dem EP with Deep Notion and Dread MC on Invicta Audio. In August she played at Melkweg, and in July she appeared at Breakout Festival in Cox Heath. Earlier that June, she played at Spin alongside Dieselboy and Villem.
