London-based Casey Lim works as a vocalist, songwriter and DJ under the name Oktae. A British-Korean artist, Lim moves between drum and bass, alternative pop, R&B, soul and UK garage. The single Sunshine (Sunset) came out on Chilli Tribe Records in 2020. Oktae has also released music through Shogun Audio, Spearhead Records, Fokuz Recordings and Four Corners Music, linking the project to several drum and bass labels.
Oktae’s albums include Cosmic Love and Night Thoughts, the latter made with Kujiomi. Other collaborators include producers Morty and Venjent; Oktae and Venjent released the single Calling For You on NCS. The single Changes, made with Ohmfield, arrived in 2025, followed by Mistletoe. Oktae describes the music as bass-focused and says the songs are intended to encourage listeners to think, feel, forgive and accept. The second album, Ego & Self, extends that body of work, while the 2026 single What Turns Your World was released on Spearhead Records.
