Yunis, whose real name is Jonas Grambach, began experimenting with music software at around 10 before learning to make beats on an Akai MPC1000. Connecting with Hamburg’s Saturate crew helped launch his career. His work with Mad Zach and Rohaan includes releases and collaborations, and the pair later launched KNOTS, an audio sample company. Yunis’s sound has been described as eclectic electronic music, while his DJ sets explore new grooves and draw on rare finds from past collections.
In 2018, Yunis released the singles “Noth” and “Moro Cut”, followed by the Depth EP on MethLab in 2019. His releases have also appeared through antispace, White Peach Records and Twenty Twenty London Recordings. Collaborations include the single “Sad Gang” with Mad Zach and “Slappas” with Chrizpy Chriz, which appeared on The Lost and the Unfound. His releases also include the single “Celestial Beings” and the albums Amber and Distorted Sines.
Yunis released “Only You” on Clap Your Feet in 2014. In 2026, he released “Compassionate” on Archive Recordings with Submarine and “Mideasy (Raar Remix)” on ATS Bootlegs with Raar. His 2026 releases also include “Home” on Kraatz Studios GmbH with Kraatz and “Bad Slander / Fume” on Twenty Twenty London Recordings with d:enigma. The 2026 release “antispace remixed 002” on antispace features Mad Zach and Sunda Arc.
