Balearic Breaks is a drum and bass record label founded in Ibiza, Spain, during the 2020 lockdown by Darren Jay and Alex Herbert (Jazzy) together with Rhyan Paul. Its releases focus on soulful, liquid drum and bass with a Balearic influence. The label began issuing music in June 2021 with Simon Splice’s Dance With Me EP. Duoscience and Dan Guidance are among the artists who have released music through the label.
Duoscience’s single Triumph appeared in 2022, followed by Corner in 2023. Other releases include Skuff’s Gathered By Now EP and In Your Soul LP, issued in four parts, as well as Surreal’s Reminisce EP. In March 2023, the label released No One Else EP by Jazzy & Jay, featuring Sahala. Its musical approach also sought to reach listeners beyond the drum and bass audience.
