Based in the UK, Dirtbox Recordings is a digital drum and bass label established by Lee UHF in 2018. It grew from Dirtbox Live, a live performance collective that included Lee UHF, a beatboxer, an MC and a drummer. Lee UHF first put out a free release under his own name in 2016, before the label’s first release followed. The label works with producers from Birmingham and from elsewhere internationally. Its releases span neurofunk, liquid, rollers, jump-up and jungle. Before Dirtbox Recordings, Lee UHF ran Bedlam Records, a hardcore label.
Its artists include Slaine, Varkid, Fretman, Full Kontakt and Skynet. In 2023, the label put out Maniatics’ single “Better Time / Fear Of Falling.”
In 2024, Dirtbox Recordings marked five years with “5 Years of Filth,” its 50th release, comprising 26 remixed tracks. The label also started Vibe City, a compilation series centred on liquid drum and bass, and Tape Pack, a monthly release series with revenue shared through its model. In 2026, Dirtbox Recordings released “187 EP” by Dunk and Rebel_DNB.
