Exiled Recordings started in 2010, set up by drum and bass enthusiasts, and is based in Washington, D.C. Its releases centre on drum and bass, including liquid funk, and the label aims to present local and international artists while putting quality ahead of quantity. In 2017 Jermie Jones, known as ABYSS, ran the label, and Dave Owen, Tradecraft and ABYSS played an Exiled Recordings showcase in Washington, D.C., that year.
Artists with releases on the label include Dave Owen, Fishy, A Sides and Malaky. Exiled Recordings put out Dave Owen’s single Queen Bee in 2018 and A Sides’ Stinger / Orion in 2023. D-Fect’s 2022 EP Mitera contains the tracks “Mitera”, “Potholes” and “Way Life Used To Be”. Earlier, the label issued Conspire’s album True Test in 2015, and in 2022 it also released Seeing Is Believing by Pixel, Malaky and Humanature.
