Future Retro London was founded in 2020 by jungle DJ and producer Tim Reaper, beginning as a club-night concept before developing into a London-based record label. Its releases centre on modern jungle, blending old-school drum and bass sounds with contemporary production techniques. The label also hosts events and showcases that bring music fans and artists together, and its output has included music from Kloke, Coco Bryce and Sully.
Kloke’s FR005 arrived in 2022, followed by FR042, a 2024 collaboration with LQ. The 2023 project Synergy paired Sully, Coco Bryce, Dwarde and Tim Reaper, with each producer also contributing remixes. Meeting Of The Minds and Meeting Of The Minds VIPs are sub-labels; the first grew from a collaborative release series begun during the COVID-19 lockdown. Future Retro London received DJ Mag’s Breakthrough Label award in 2021. In October 2025, Tim Reaper announced an indefinite pause for the label and club night, with FR050 the latest release at that time.
