Hooversound Recordings is a London label run by the DJs NAINA and SHERELLE. The pair met through Reprezent Radio in Brixton, and a back-to-back set supporting The Prodigy at Brixton Academy in 2017 gave them the idea for the label. Its releases centre on drum and bass and jungle, with room for left-field club music between roughly 140 and 170 BPM that draws on footwork, juke and hardcore rave.
Hooversound announced itself in August 2019 and put out its first record in March 2020, the “BS6” EP by Hyroglifics and Sinistarr with a remix by Scratcha DVA. In November 2020 it announced a split EP by Mani Festo and Private Caller as its third EP of the year. Drumskull’s “Muscle Memory” followed in January 2023 with remixes by Lone and LMajor, and Nectax’s single “Raytracer” came out in 2025. Special Request and Tim Reaper have also released music on the label.
