Icarus Audio was founded by Adam Cross and Liam O'Sullivan as a label focused on drum and bass, mainly neurofunk, with liquid and jump up also represented. It operated from Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States, with Staticalpha directing the label, and its releases were distributed through Triple Vision Music Group.
In 2010 Rregula’s single “Last Hope / Dizgo” came out on the label, and A.M.C. and DBR UK’s “Dub King / Mechanism” followed on October 21, 2013. Its 13th release, in 2014, was Graveyard EP, the debut collaborative project from Basis. The label issued Converge EP, credited to Advance, D-Struct and Jaise, in 2020. Maztek, Cause 4 Concern and Nphonix are among the other artists who released music through Icarus Audio, whose output ran to around 40 releases between 2009 and 2020.
