Precinct is a drum and bass label set up in 2019 by producer Rob "Dogger" Smith. Its first release came in April 2020, and Mindstate appeared on the second. The music is atmospheric drum and bass with a mood that moves between emotional, meditative and gritty, drawing on images of city streets and brutalist architecture.
Dogger and Tyler Daley's single Try Again came out in 2022, and Ben Soundscape and Luke Truth's This Life followed in 2025, the same year the label marked its fifth birthday with the ten-artist compilation Five Years of Precinct. Its most ambitious project is Polarity, a vocal drum and bass album by Blind Mic, produced by Dogger and Metrodome, with Mindstate and Dub Phizix on production and DRS and Cityboyrem on vocals. Slay and Sl8r have also released on Precinct.
