Sneaker Social Club was launched in 2011 by Jamie Russell, who also records as Low End Activist. Its focus is drum and bass, with releases bringing together jungle, rave and breakbeat alongside UK bass, grime and dubstep influences. The label began with headquarters in Brighton and Hove and was operating from Berlin in 2023, where Russell was based.
Its first release was a 12-inch by Throwing Snow. Tim Reaper, Hostyle, Coco Bryce and Dead Man's Chest, the alias of Alex Eveson, are among the artists with releases on the label, and Etch’s single Untitled Hardcore came out there in 2016.
Sneaker Social Club has held showcases at the Berlin venues Fitzroy and OHM, and Russell also runs a closely related imprint, Art-E-Fax.
