Worldwide Audio Recordings puts out drum and bass, including Dancefloor and Jump Up, with releases from established and emerging artists. Its work centres on underground drum and bass, and its roster spans a diverse group of artists. Launched in 2003 as a sister label to Technique Recordings, Worldwide Audio also provided an outlet for more experimental drum-and-bass releases. Technique Recordings was founded in 1999 by Simon “Bassline” Smith and Andy Wright in the Midlands, where it is based.
Drumsound & Bassline Smith released “Turn Up the Bass” / “Rhythm” through the label in 2003, followed by their single “Ooh Baby” in 2004. In 2006, 2DB issued “Tequila Slammer / Legacy” on Worldwide Audio Recordings. A 2008 release by Technicolour paired “At The Spot” with “Good News Green” in a DS & SBS remix. Drumsound & Bassline Smith put out “Error / Vigilante” in 2010, while Tantrum Desire released “A Legend Will Rise / Mr Brookes” and “Freeze / Just Can’t Wait” that year.
Tantrum Desire’s single “Higher” followed in 2011. Other artists with releases on Worldwide Audio Recordings include Komatic and Infrasonik; the latter released the “Tazer Tag EP” in 2014.
