Technicolour is the drum-and-bass alias of Peter Rogers, who is originally from Luton and began making music with Andy Powell in 2008. Powell performs as Komatic, and they first connected through an online Drum&BassArena production forum. Their shared interest in making similar music and exchanging production ideas led to an organic working partnership, first presented as Technicolour & Komatic. They later worked under the name Technimatic, while Rogers retained Technicolour for solo work. Technicolour described his sound as lush, musically rich drum and bass.
Technicolour’s solo releases include the 2008 single Half a Chance / Le Corbusier on Technique Recordings, and his music has also appeared on Ennex. In 2012, Centrifuge came out as a Technicolour single on Spearhead Records, while Forget The Past and Lights paired him with Komatic on Drum&BassArena and Bassdrive Tunes, respectively. The following year, Technicolour worked with Soligen, Tobax and Type2 on the Fokuz Recordings release Those Words EP.
As Technicolour & Komatic, Rogers and Powell released music through SGN:LTD, Shogun Audio’s sister label. Their 2011 release Those Feelings / Changeling appeared on SGN:LTD. The partnership went on to make music as Technimatic and release the album Desire Paths on Shogun Audio.
