Belgian producer and DJ Netsky, whose real name is Boris Daenen, signed his first record deal with Hospital Records in 2009. His early releases appeared on independent drum-and-bass labels Talkin Beatz and Liq-weed Ganja. He first became known for melodic liquid-funk drum and bass, later incorporating more pop-oriented sounds into his music.
The albums 2 (2012) and 3 (2016) continued his chart success in Belgium. He later released music through major labels including Epic Records, then returned to Hospital Records for Second Nature (2020), which also continued that chart success. The album features collaborations with Chromeo, Emeli Sandé and Digital Farm Animals. Netsky released Glitter (feat. Ambré Perkins) [Netsky Remix] with Keys N Krates on Dim Mak Records in 2021, followed by Broken with Montell2099 on 541 in 2022. His 2024 release Satisfaction (Netsky Remix) was issued through D:Vision with Benny Benassi and The Biz.
His collaborations include “Running Low” with Beth Ditto, “Here with You” with Lost Frequencies and “Hold On” with Becky Hill. Netsky and Rudimental collaborated on “Blend”; Netsky said they had been friends for a long time and worked together to finish the track. He said “Rio” drew inspiration from drum and bass he listened to early in his career and from a visit to Brazil. Hospital Records and Playaz Recordings are among the labels associated with his work. In 2026, Netsky released Come Alive with Grafix and Feel Again with Hannah Boleyn. That year, he played Sklub on 29 August, following festival appearances at Geestmerambacht and Tägi earlier in the year.
