“Sidestepped” is Fixate’s contribution to uu013, a six-track selection that also brings together Synkro, dBridge, Seph, Christopher Ledger and Xen Chron. The set moves across distinct club tempos and styles, placing Fixate’s concise 3:21 cut in eclectic company rather than a drum & bass-only sequence.
That mix suits unknown - untitled’s white-label-inspired approach: the label previews releases anonymously, then reveals the artists in the record sleeve. Here, the track’s identity is part of a wider, deliberately varied lineup.
