“Funkadelic” is part of Micky Finn and Vital Elements’ Warehouse Days, a project tracing the UK rave journey from acid house to jungle and drum & bass. Across the album, the pair draw on the era’s breakbeats and basslines as well as the reggae and funk rhythms that helped shape early rave.
The track places Finn’s roots in the original rave scene alongside Vital Elements’ contemporary, roots-conscious jungle production—a meeting point between the music’s history and its continuing dancefloor life.
