Potential Badboy makes his Tru Thoughts debut with “Ticker,” pairing his jungle-rooted production with JODIAN NATTY’s lively, reggae-inflected vocal. Natty’s sound-system clash style sets the track in motion: a bouncy instrumental gives his melody room to lead, while the dubwise feel connects the tune to the sound-system traditions behind jungle.
For Potential Badboy, a key architect of UK jungle, drum and bass and garage since the early ’90s, the single also marks a meeting of generations and a fresh chapter on the Brighton label.
