Formed in March 2016, Deadline is a drum & bass DJ duo made up of Pete (Peter van Dongen) and Ollie (Oliver Outen), who first met at Outlook Festival in 2014. The pair became resident DJs for Shogun Audio and Skankandbass, and won the Evermix Drum & Bass DJ competition. Peter van Dongen also took on the role of label manager at Shogun Audio. In 2018, Deadline released the single Through Your Eyes / Bitter on Skankandbass; a 2020 single, Wake Up Call, came out on Deadline.
In 2021, Deadline released the single Teardrop (Deadline Remix) with Poppy Baskcomb on Get Together Records. The duo’s 2023 single CHICA featured Duskee and Slay and appeared on Shogun Audio. Emily Makis joined Deadline for the 2024 single Freak Like Me, released on Elevate Records. The 2025 single RUDEBOI, a collaboration with Unglued, came out on Hospital Records. Deadline also collaborated with Javeon on All Night.
