Dossa

Dossa is the stage name of Benedikt Dengler, a multi-instrumentalist and sound designer from Lower Austria, Austria. He grew up playing several instruments before moving into music production, and is now based in St. Pölten. His work as a drum-and-bass producer and DJ draws on funk, jazz and soul alongside modern bass music, combining electronic and organic elements. Dengler first worked in a group and now pursues a solo career.

Before going solo, Dengler formed one half of Dossa & Locuzzed with Rene Maierhofer, who performs as Locuzzed. The Austrian drum-and-bass duo came from St. Pölten and joined Viper Recordings. Their single Only Way / Electric Boogie appeared through the sister label Viper VIP, with Tasha Baxter featuring on “Only Way”. The pair also released “Hollow” on Viper Recordings. Their joint releases included a 2017 single with Hillsdom and a 2018 single with Ekko & Sidetrack and TREi. In 2021, Dossa and Locuzzed released a remix of “Double Dutch” with Murdock.

Dossa’s solo releases include the album Resonate (2019), followed by “Sliding Gliding” on Shogun Audio in 2022 and “Enough/Floating” in 2023. “Love Letters” came out on Soulvent; Dossa made it using his own piano recording and vocals. He has also collaborated with Suune and Elipsa, with RageMode on “System ID”, and with AIRGLO on “Dance All Night”. In 2024, his track “Rush” appeared on Liquicity Orbit. In 2026, he released “Move On” on Viper Recordings with Elipsa and Suune. His solo singles also include “Fog,” “Away,” “Steps,” and “Running.”
