At 14, Limewax brought demo CDs to PRSPCT founder Thrasher, who recalled being impressed by the music. Limewax is the stage name of Maxim Anokhin, a drum and bass producer and DJ born in Ukraine and based in the Netherlands. His first EP, Changing Crisis, came out on Tech Itch Recordings in 2005. His sound draws on hardstep and darkstep, and he is particularly associated with skullstep. Thrasher has described Limewax as an important producer in hard drum and bass, crediting his early releases with influencing the genre.
Limewax has released music through L/B Recordings, PRSPCT Recordings, Position Chrome and Freak Recordings, as well as Tech Itch Recordings. His collaborators include The Panacea, Current Value, Donny, Proket and Dylan. In 2011, Limewax and Cooh released the EP The Borger EP. His work with Thrasher has included the projects The Hard Way and Limewax & Thrasher. In 2014, he released the single Arsch Noisyum / Dirty Hand Of Gandolf on PRSPCT Recordings with Gancher & Ruin and Goldberg Variations. In 2021, PRSPCT Recordings released Agent Orange (Pythius Remix) with Pythius.
