Wellington-based Rova began making music in 2019, working as a drum and bass producer and DJ. Rova has described the music and DJ sets as heavy, raw and energetic. In 2021, Rova released the single JAWBREAKER on Norman Foreman. The 2024 breakout track Eyes On Me brought Rova wider attention, before a run of collaborations with 1991, Mugatu, SACHI and A Little Sound. Rova also worked with 1991 on Hijack and with Grafix on Let Me Down. In 2025, Rova released the single Body Rock on Rova.
