Shimon Alcoby began releasing music through RAM Records in 1992, in the label’s early years. The English drum and bass DJ and producer became one of the label’s founding artists, building a long-running connection with its releases. Shimon also formed Ram Trilogy with Andy C and Ant Miles, a production group whose members were part of a notably creative period for the music, as Shimon later recalled. He described friendly competition between producers as one influence on the work they made during that era.
With Andy C, Shimon made the 2001 single Body Rock for RAM Records. The track reached number 28 on the UK Singles Chart and topped the UK Dance Singles Chart. Their other singles together include Quest. Shimon’s solo singles include The Predator, Hush Hush and The Shadow Knows. In 2007, he founded AudioPorn Records, adding label work to his DJ and production roles. The label released early and breakthrough music by Xilent, Dirtyphonics, Camo & Krooked, Hybrid Minds and High Maintenance.
Shimon’s releases on AudioPorn include the track Physio and the track Crystal Clear; Believe It appeared on the EP The Breaks. He also developed music with Benny L, exchanging ideas informally and trying them out in DJ sets before finishing the tunes. Their releases include the track Yeti and the 2018 remix Monsters (Remix), which also features Sub Zero. His other 2018 release was the single The Killers - EP.
Shimon’s later work includes the 2025 single HUWANTSIT VIPS, made with Benny L, Gino and Leaf. His DJ appearances include Let It Roll at Milovice Airport in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. In 2026, he played at The Steel Yard in February and The Cause in June, followed by Unit 1 in August and Eutopia Whs in September.
