From Toulouse, France, Trail is the stage name of producer and DJ Charles Fourcassié. His work spans drum & bass and 140 BPM styles, pairing soulful, vintage-inspired melodies with darker, industrial dancefloor energy. In 2020, Charli Brix joined him on the Flexout Audio single Let It Breathe (Trail Remix). Trail also appeared on Monty’s 2021 album Hit The Lights, collaborating on “Cinnamon”.
In 2023, Trail released his first solo EP for 1985 Music, Resident, which includes three solo tracks and “Misty Blue”, made with Visages. That year also brought the single Three Colour Portrait, a collaboration with Tokyo Prose on Footnotes. In 2024, Trail and Monty released the single “Wraith” on 1985 Music, followed by Trail’s EP Halation on the label. The EP features “Comet”, made with Visages, “Blackening” and its title track. Trail also joined Monty and Amoss for the Vandal Records single In The Cut, And We Go.
Trail’s later collaborations include the 2025 Flexout Audio single U & I with Ellis Esco and Redeyes, and Another Level Of Love (Trail Remix), a single with Submorphics and Zar on Rosebay Music. On 9 October 2026, he released the single Polaroid on Trail Music.
