Amoss is a British drum and bass project that began as a duo before becoming James Evans’s solo project, following Andy Tweedale departure in 2017. Evans works as a producer and DJ, and the project is known for a dark, minimal sound. An early release was the 2011 single “Last Minute / Celler Dweller (Remix)” on Horizons Music. Amoss has also released music on Flexout Audio, V Recordings, CIA Records and Sofa Sound, and its albums include Everything Is Temporary (2018) and The Voice of Ekou 2 (2022).
Amoss released the four-track EP Lotus on Gemini Gemini, with Hugh Hardie collaborating on the track “Break”. In 2026, Amoss released the three-track collaborative EP The Set EP with Minor Forms on Symmetry Recordings on 1 May, as well as the single “Jaded” with Bassi on Flexout Audio. That year, Amoss played at The Trinity Centre on 2 May and Lakota on 8 August.
