QZB

QZB are a German-Swiss drum and bass duo formed by Thomas Koubik, who performs as QBIG, and Benjamin Ramsauer, known as Zenith B. They met while playing at the same gig and connected through their music selections before starting to make music together in 2012. Initially performing as QBIG & Zenith B, they released music on Flexout, Demand, Liquicity and Blendits, and promoted the Random nights at Sommercasino in Basel. They adopted the name QZB in 2017. Their music draws on influences including hip-hop, breaks, Italo disco and jazz.

On Critical Music, the duo released the five-track Systems EP and the EP Clairvoyant. They also put out the single Something About You / Haste on the label. In 2023, they released their debut album, Future Forever, featuring contributions from Charli Brix, T-Man, Marea and MCXL. Clairvoyant came out in 2021. In 2026, they released the album Dreams To Dust on Critical Music.

QZB have said they prefer to record vocals in person with vocalists where possible, as this allows a track to develop more naturally. Their recorded work has also included the 2023 remix Turn Around (QZB Remix) for Vision Recordings, and the 2025 singles Corpo, released on Let It Roll, and Malicious Code, released on Flexout Audio. In 2025, they made Small Chances with Hanna Noir, released on Hanna Noir. QZB are based near the border between France, Germany and Switzerland, and Thomas is German. In 2014, they released Backstab EP on Syndrome Audio.
