Bay 6 Recordings is a drum and bass label founded in Harlow in 2014 by a group of music lovers and industry professionals. Its focus is soulful, funky drum and bass, and Jack Perry, also known as Echo Motion, owns the label. Colossus’s “5-HT” opened its release history, followed by the 2014 single “5-HT / Lost In Time”. In November 2020, the label marked its sixth anniversary with Colossus’s Virtues EP, its 50th release. Fearbace’s Better Days EP arrived in 2021, while Ben Rolo’s debut EP, Fluorescent, followed early that year; the label had released Rolo’s original music in 2020. Ingot’s four-track Distance EP, featuring Kintsuku and Violet Springs, came out in October 2021. The Back to Bay 6 compilations pair newer artists with the label’s existing roster: the fourth volume, released in September 2022, included Colossus and Fearbace. In 2023, Colossus and Enok released the single “Mythologies Part 2” on the label.
