Deep Medi Musik is a London dubstep label founded by Mala in 2006 as a platform for a broader range of producers and music beyond his work with DMZ. Its first releases included Mala’s “Changes” and Loefah and Coki’s “Disco Rekah / All of a Sudden,” and Kromestar’s “Kalawanji” followed the same year. Mala’s stated aim is to give artists a platform and an environment to develop and express themselves.
Over time the label’s early bass-heavy sound widened into more melodic and atmospheric music. Skream, Silkie, Goth-Trad, Kahn and Sir Spyro have released on Deep Medi, as have drum and bass names such as Calibre, Somah, Wraz. and Criso. By tradition, each artist’s debut on the label carries a portrait drawn by Tunnidge. In 2026 it released “Topper Top (Conducta Remix)” by Conducta and Sir Spyro.
