Default Recordings is a UK drum and bass label based in Milton Keynes, with releases spanning the genre’s subgenres. Flapjack established it in 2003 as a way to issue music independently and decide what to release and when. He was making music with Coolhand Flex and Cat Knight when the label began. Early artists also included Piercey and IDC, who later helped Flapjack run the label after its relaunch.
In 2013 it lined up digital releases from Coolhand Flex, Piercey and IDC. Its output includes Insideman’s album Full Beam, released in 2024. Default Recordings also has a drum and bass radio show on Bassdrive.
