Dispatch Dubplate is a vinyl series from Dispatch Recordings, the UK drum and bass label founded in 2001 by Ant TC1 and Hidden Agenda. It is built around long-circulating dubplates and unreleased tracks, and each record can carry an exclusive track that is not sold digitally. The music leans towards deep and minimal drum and bass.
The first edition arrived in November 2014 with tracks by DLR, Xtrah, Hydro, Mako and Villem, pressed with blank labels to keep the titles secret, in the spirit of a dubplate. Scar and Survival’s “Dub Soldier (The Outlook VIP) / Do You Love” followed the same year. Dispatch Dubplate 005 (2016), from Alix Perez and Zero T, came on signed and numbered 180-gram vinyl that would not be repressed, and later editions paired Amoss with Fre4knc and DLR with Ant TC1.
After a break of almost two years the series returned in November 2022 with Mako, including a collaboration with Ben Soundscape. Philth’s edition 024 came out in 2024, followed by Blade’s “Machete” on 025, limited to 300 numbered copies.
