Producer and artist Klayton established FiXT in 2006, and the label is based in Detroit, Michigan. FiXT’s music combines drum and bass with industrial, metal and rock influences. FiXT has put out albums from Celldweller, Blue Stahli, The Luna Sequence and Seamless, as well as Varien’s 2013 single Metalworks. The label grew from Klayton’s work on Celldweller, with Klayton and James Rhodes seeking a fairer arrangement for artists. Celldweller and Scandroid helped launch FiXT.
FiXT is an independent, artist-owned label that also publishes music and licenses it for film, television and video games. The company runs an online music store and a merchandise business, with offices in Detroit and Iowa. Its music has received more than 1,000 placements in film, television, games and advertising. FiXT joined the American Association of Independent Music and became a Merlin member in 2015. On February 18, 2022, the label released the 35-track EDM compilation FiXT: Noir, which includes drum and bass, dubstep and other EDM styles, with tracks by Teddy Killerz and Celldweller.
