Jungle Cakes is a London-based drum and bass label founded in 2011 by Ed Solo and Deekline. Its releases combine jungle and drum and bass with reggae, dub and breakbeat influences. Benny Page, Serial Killaz, Aries and General Levy are among the artists it has released. Deekline set up the imprint to back well-produced jungle at a time when few such records were coming out.
Its 2014 releases included the compilation Welcome to the Jungle, Vol. 2, numbered JC031, followed in 2015 by General Levy single “The General.” Jungle Cakes also released Deekline and Ed Solo’s “No No No,” featuring vocals by Dawn Penn, which Kissy Sell Out championed on BBC Radio 1.
