LOWFREQMX operates from Mexico City, Mexico, and was founded there in 2009 by Isaac Maya, who ran it with Mekha. The Mexican label puts out drum and bass, including melodic liquid drum and bass and neurofunk, as well as jungle. From the start it was open to more than one style, and it aims to feature local artists alongside established performers. Releases include work by Gouki, Daddy Freddy and Isaac Maya. LOWFREQMX has passed 200 releases, with activity spanning production, artist collaboration and sound-system culture.
In 2013, LOWFREQMX issued “Original Jungle Sound,” a single credited to Daddy Freddy, Dirty Skank Beats and Isaac Maya. The label also holds events and showcases in Mexico City and other locations. Its 2025 releases included Isaac Maya “World A Dub Riddim,” followed in 2026 by Gouki’s single “Test Me.”
