Gleb Soloviev began making music with producer Alexander Rotov before continuing alone as Subwave, a drum-and-bass artist based in Russia and associated with Moscow’s scene. Soloviev also uses the name HAPPYBOXX. The pair’s musical partnership ended, with Rotov later working in minimal techno as Stop Thinking and Soloviev pursuing Subwave as a solo project. Before that split, they had worked together on music; Subwave’s early steps also included a 12-inch release on Goldie’s Metalheadz. Soloviev’s activity in Moscow extended beyond production: in 2006, Subwave helped bring the Hospitality club night to Russia and promoted the Refreshed night in the city.

Subwave appeared with two tracks on Hospital Records’ Future Sounds of Russia release in 2009. That year brought an introduction to Bop, after the two producers appeared separately on the compilation. Subwave’s solo releases also included the 2010 Gift EP and the 2012 album Subwave. Across the wider body of work, Subwave has put out music on Hospital Records, Tech Itch Recordings and Shogun Audio, as well as Metalheadz. The solo project has also remixed Tiësto’s “Flight 643” with Paul B.

After their 2009 meeting, Bop and Subwave began releasing music together as Bop x Subwave. Their joint work includes the 2019 EP Love & Other Drugs, and the pair discussed musical influences and the effect of lockdown while talking about their later album. In 2022, they released Renaissance, credited to Subwave and BOP. Subwave has worked with Bop on material beyond the album and EP, including the track “City Lights”.

Subwave’s work with BOP includes the 2022 single “That B”, released on Microfunk Music, and the 2024 single “Remix EP Part 1”, released on Fokuz Recordings with Alpha Rhythm. In 2025, the collaborators released the single “Unforgettable” on Monstercat with imallryt. Subwave has held a residency at Moscow drum-and-bass party series :data.

MC Mota is a Belgium-based artist from Ghent who appears on drum and bass, drumstep and dubstep releases. He works as an MC and is listed by promoters and record credits as a vocal feature; the user-provided role of producer is noted but public sources primarily document his vocal and MC work. Publicly available sources do not provide a verified legal or real name.

He is credited as a vocal feature on releases for multiple established labels: Monstercat, RAM Records, Renegade Hardware, Dispatch, Drum&Bass Arena, Audioporn and Rampage Recordings. Two widely cited credits are Pegboard Nerds' "Gunslinga" on Monstercat and the Bredren & Phase track "Coyote" on Rampage Recordings. Beyond studio credits, he performs live MCing at bass events across Europe.

MC Mota’s documented work spans the three bass-led formats listed above. On drum and bass releases he appears alongside fast break patterns and rapid vocal phrasing suited to 170–175 BPM sets. On drumstep and dubstep releases his vocal lines are used to sit in half-time or halftime-adjacent grooves and to lock with heavier sub-bass passages. These are concrete traits of the tracks where he is credited: vocals placed to ride breaks in DnB and to punctuate halftime bass drops in drumstep/dubstep contexts.

As an MC he contributes vocal hooks and live call-and-response at events, and as a credited vocal feature he appears on label releases alongside producers rather than under a documented solo producer discography in public sources. Specific collaborations named in public credits include Pegboard Nerds ("Gunslinga") and Bredren & Phase ("Coyote").

If you need a discography extract or links to the label releases named above, I can pull together the verified releases and dates from label catalogues and streaming platforms; otherwise, public information beyond the credits and live-MC activity is limited.

Priority One began releasing music as producer Hamish Cranford-Smith with the 2009 single Precision Movement on Upbeat Music. The 2013 single It's You also appeared on the label. In 2014, Priority One released Ambition as a single on Most Addictive and appeared on Liquicity Records CD compilation Galaxy Of Dreams 2. The following year brought two collaborations with TwoThirds: the Liquicity Records single City Needs Sleep and the Monstercat single Hunted. Vocalist Jonny Rose was featured on the Monstercat collaboration.

Priority One and TwoThirds also released City Needs Sleep (Fox Stevenson Remix) as a single in 2015, with Fox Stevenson and TwoThirds credited on the release. In 2016, Priority One released the 12-inch Alchemy vinyl sampler on Liquicity Records. Priority One also worked with NCT on a remix of MUZZ’s “Feeling Stronger.”

In Warsaw, producer Konrad Celiński began making music as Subformat in 2008, with early productions spanning uplifting trance, tech house, deep house and hands-up. From 2012, Celiński turned towards breakbeat, downtempo, drum & bass and jungle; those styles remain part of Subformat’s musical range. That year, Subformat worked with Charli Brix on the single More, released on Monstercat.

Subformat released the Turbine EP on Nu Venture Records in 2016, featuring the tracks Turbine, Expansion and Outrun. The single Penguin Calls followed in 2019 on Liquicity Records, and Subformat released the single Encounter in 2022. Nu Venture Records, Liquicity Records and Monstercat are among the labels to have released Subformat’s music. Celiński’s productions have included both jungle and drum & bass, as well as breakbeat and downtempo, following the change in styles from the early work.
