Omni Music was founded in 2010 by Chris Wright, who records as Eschaton, as a drum and bass label. Its sound centres on deep, intricate and atmospheric drum and bass, with releases also spanning breakbeat, jungle and drumfunk. The label began as a vehicle for Wright’s own music before widening its remit to other artists. Its releases include music by Future Engineers, Deep Stealth and Ascendant Groove, alongside work by Eschaton.
Eschaton’s releases on the label include AM:PM Extended Edition and the album Quantum 1: Quantization. The label also runs Omnizero, a free-release offshoot. Its OHM prefix identifies an ambient and techno series, while OHMNI is used for LP compilations of older, hard-to-find material and rediscovered projects. In January 2017, designer Warrick Sears created a new logo and digital poster template, giving the yin-yang symbol greater prominence.
