Plush Recordings is a drum and bass label founded in 2009 by Mike Ramirez, also known as Mike Shoebox, Steve Cossey and Bryan Lewis, and based in Denver and South London. It focuses on soulful, deep drum and bass, with releases stretching from atmospheric jungle to liquid funk. Its first year brought Mind Vortex’s single “That Good Feelin' / Silent Dream”, and Nelver, Silence Groove, Electrosoul System and Duoscience are among the artists who have released on it.
In 2014 the label put out two Beatport Decade compilations, one of drum and bass and one of chillout. After a break of almost a year, it announced its return in August 2015 with an A&R team of Jeremy Sinistarr, Brian of Basic Forces and Mike of Shoebox. Its hundredth release, the ten-track compilation Plush Recordings #100, followed on March 21, 2017, and Samurai Breaks released “Frog Marched” on the label in 2018.
