SINFUL MAZE

SINFUL MAZE is a Czech drum-and-bass label founded in 2019 by DJ Mark Sin, alongside producer friends Meph and Drop Database. Conceived first as an agency, it turned towards releases after an event in Otrokovice. Mark Sin wanted to stay active in the Czech electronic scene and support production from Czech and Slovak artists; the label also holds regular showcase events. Its aim is to bring local progressive producers together in a community and creative space, with room to experiment beyond drum and bass.

The label began with The Maze in January 2019, and Infinite Impact EP followed that September as the first of a series of various-artists EPs and LPs. Releases have included [BORDERS]’s “Absence” in 2022 and Manta’s “Home” in 2024, as well as Malcuth and Facutum’s Pentiment LP. By the end of 2022, the label had issued music by 77 artists from five continents and shifted more attention towards Prague and international activity. In 2024, Mark Sin said its releases had featured more than 100 artists and its team numbered ten.
