Soul Rebel Recordings was created by Marco Grijsen, known for his work with Fokuz, Celsius and Influenza, together with Scott Allen of Soul Deep Recordings, and Scott Allen now runs it on his own. The label combines drum and bass with reggae, covering liquid funk, dubwise and jungle, and it issues deep drum and bass with a strong reggae and dub influence on vinyl and digitally.
Its first vinyl release arrived in December 2012, pairing “One Of These Days” by Mutt & Tedder with “River Jordan” by Deeper Connection & Scott Allen. Furney’s Foundations EP followed in 2014, and Dub Defense’s Waterfall Dub EP appeared in 2018. Other artists on the label include Bert H, Macca and MSDOS. Soul Rebel Recordings also hosts live events and showcases for fans and artists.
