1985 Music, the label Alix Perez founded in 2016, is moving into Phonox in Brixton for a four-week residency this January.
The run covers four consecutive Fridays: the opening party on January 8, then January 15, January 22 and January 29. Each night runs from 22:00 to 04:00, and entry is 18+.
Lineups have not been announced yet. A pre-sale for fans who signed up for first access opened on Thursday, October 29, and DICE lists opening-party tickets from £16.50.
The residency announcement describes 1985 Music as “built around a distinct musical axis: heavyweight drum & bass, half-time, and 140”. More than ten years on, it says, the label has a catalogue shaped by Perez and “a handpicked roster of forward-thinking producers”.
