DJ Hype plays The Racket Space in Dublin on Sunday, January 31, 2027, his first Dublin date in 14 years.
Bodytonic and Absys Records are behind the night, which runs from 11pm to 3am on the bank holiday Sunday, with the Monday off to recover. Support acts and set times are still to be announced, and entry is 19+ with ID.
The promoters bill it as a return for “jungle royalty”. Hype came up on the Heatwave sound system in Hackney in the early 1980s, made ‘The Bee’ with The Scientist, charted with ‘Shot in the Dark’ in 1993, and built Ganja Records and the True Playaz crew into one of the scene’s best-loved camps.
Early-bird tickets are on sale through The Racket Space and The Bernard Shaw, with prices from €15 to €22.
