Om Unit reshapes Hodge’s “Trust” into a tracky, jacking club cut, driving it with a weighty bassline and wobbling low end built to hit on a big rig. The original pairs open hats with a vocal sample; Hodge’s springtime single draws on dancefloor house while bringing in the feel of Bristol soundsystem culture.
“Wiggler,” also included here, leans into a growling bassline, waterdrop percussion and off-kilter sound design. The release brings Om Unit back into Hodge’s orbit after Hodge remixed Om Unit and James Bangura’s “Rushing 1621.”
